We partnered with small farm cooperatives in Nicaragua and Honduras to produce these blends. Our caffeinated coffee comes from Nicaragua and decaf from Honduras. We are committed to the well-being of our farmers to ensure that they reap the rewards of their thoughtful growing operations. Traditional Latin American coffee farms have struggled with roya, a devastating fungal disease. Sun-grown farms, with closely spaced plants, make it easy for roya to spread, and fungicides used to combat it often kill beneficial fungi. Our solution starts with shade. By planting native tree species, we control pests and diseases while preserving the ecological balance between plants, fungi, insects, and wildlife.

Preserving Natural Fauna

Conventional coffee farming often involves clearing native flora and fauna, leading to soil depletion. We grow coffee naturally, intercropping with beneficial flowers and legumes. Our goal is to transition farms from monocultures to biodynamic systems, offering diverse income streams from multiple crops like cacao, tea, rubber, and vanilla. Conventional farms use large amounts of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, which harm soil health. We help farmers understand their soil’s nutrient needs and use natural diets to maintain its health.
